DefenseLite Energy (DLE) is an energy-saving retrofit glazing solution composed of glass or UV coated polycarbonate energy shields for commercial buildings. DLE installations are custom engineered to conform with existing conditions and can be made utilizing low-E film coatings and infrared light (IR) resistant materials. This clear energy shield, also commonly known as a ‘window insert, or storm window,’ mounts over the existing glass and window frames.
Once installed, the system provides multilayer protection from air infiltration, solar heat gain, heat transfer, and UV rays by forming insulating air spaces.
